Prof. Teuteberg has accepted an invitation to serve as a member of the International assessment committee “Sustainable Logistics” for the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), The Hague.
The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) is the national research council in the Netherlands and has a budget of 625 million euros per year. NWO promotes quality and innovation in science.
The international assessment committee (IAC) has been assessed proposals which have been submitted in the NWO research Programme Sustainable Logistics. The budget for financing projects is approx. 5 million €. The IAC is composed of senior researchers from the logistics discipline, their specific background reflects the three research themes that are central in this Programme: 1) ICT systems in the logistics sector, 2) Physical Infrastructure, and 3) Orgware for the logistics sector. Each proposal has been assessed by two committee members, in a so-called preliminary assessment. The applicants have had the opportunity to respond to the issues raised in these preliminary assessments (the ‘rebuttal’). Interviews with the applicants took place on June 24 and June 25, 2014 in The Hague, Netherlands.
